Tailgatin' on 75
What began as a small employee tailgate party at George Nigh Rehabilitation Center has rapidly grown to involve the entire community and surrounding counties. This is both exciting and wonderful and we anticipate that this year's big event will have more football fans coming out to enjoy the day than last year's crowd of over 6,000. So come join the fun and support your favorite team from 10:00am-3:00pm on Friday, October 15, 2010.
We have all these great activities planned for you:
College alumni players from your favorite universities to sign autographs from 10:00am-3:00pm (OU Sooners: Mike Vaughn, Reed Coody, Darren Kilpatrick, Quinton Griffin, Kejuan Jones, Paul Thompson and Rufus Alexander. OSU Cowboys: Jeremy Nethon, Paul Duren, Clay Coe and Seth Newton. Tulsa Hurricanes: "Capp" Crowder and Mike "Jackhammer" White. Texas Longhorns: Rodney Tate).
Poster machine from the Sports Fan-Attic will be here so fans can get a poster with their favorite college alumni players.
97.1 fm The Sports Animal broadcasting their live sports show from 9:00am to 2:00pm, along with live broadcasting from KJRH Channel 2, KOTV Channel 6, KTUL Channel 8, radio KVOO Big Country, talk radio KRMG and KOKL-Okmulgee!!!
Battle of the Bands (many high school bands in our area) starting at 11:00am.
High School football teams.
High school cheerleading competition starting at 11:00am.
A "Football Challenge" for kids ages 5-12 with trophies. Sign ups start at 10:00am.

The United States Air Force bringing "The T-Shirt Cannon".
The US Navy bringing "Physical Fitness Challenge" and a "Tricked Out Truck".
Congressman Dan Boren's Office from District 2 will be coming to offer a moment of silence to honor our fallen veterans. Our state and local representatives will be here to honor veterans and our first responders.

Live music (The Home Brewed Band will be playin' the blues.
Grilled hot dogs, BBQ and Food-Food-Food.

Jumbo Flat Screen Televisions presenting classic college football games and X-Box video gamming for everyone.
Chevrolet, Ford and Dodge will be displaying their hot new 2011 models.
Health fair activities/free health screening tests and all kinds of great give-a-ways!
To accommodate the crowd, the activities will be held at and adjacent to the George Nigh Rehabilitation Center campus on 75 on the northern edge of Okmulgee.
The Okmulgee police, County Sheriff's departments and the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Lighthorsemen will provide crowd control. The City of Okmulgee has agreed to allow parking at the airport just 1/4 mile east of George Nigh Rehabilitation Center on Airport Road. Muscogee (Creek) Nation will provide free shuttling services from the airport to the tailgate party and then back to your vehicles.
